Then & Now
John: I still think a promotion or bonus for Amos was in order. I wonder if the absence of that is why we never see him again.
Christine: Elizabeth may first have to consider what pay increase to give the other staff to retain them before deciding how much more Amos deserves.
John: I think Roger is jealous of the staff that are being offered jobs with profit sharing from Burke. What I don't get is why would Burke owning Logansport make them more of a threat competitively than they already are?
Christine: While the Devlin revenge plot is interesting, it's slightly annoying to have it interrupt follow-up on Vicki's sighting of Bill Malloy's ghost and the consequences for David after he left her to die in the closed section of the house, especially when the seaweed evidence is seemingly forgotten at the beginning of the episode.
Shadows on the Wall
John: Amos Fitch is a pretty scary looking guy. I could totally see him in a more frightening role, like Adam...
Christine: He could also play murderous Matthew. He's got the real eyebrows for it. At one point, he seemed to be searching the teleprompter for his missing line.
John: Do you think there was really $1000 in the envelope Burke gave to Blair?
Christine: Absolutely! The envelope looks awfully thin to hold that much money, but I could imagine Devlin handing Blair a single large bill to underscore the power of his wealth.
What did you notice in today's episode?
