Shadows on the Wall: Episode 78

Before continuing, you may enjoy revisiting our original 50th anniversary summary and commentary: https://dsb4idie.blogspot.com/2016/10/episode-78-101266.html

Then & Now

Christine: Let's all drink to the Collinsport Family of Collins! What port? Wha? Were we not supposed to join in on the drinking game?

Roger takes advantage of Vicki's beguiling smile to arrange a clandestine public meeting with Sam Evans, while they're both in dressing gowns. Not weird at all. Just look what happens when Liz has the day off!

It's Maggie's unofficial first date with Joe, and Roger reinforces the reason why — because Joe slings fish and Maggie slings hash, and both are beneath the station of the Collins Family of Collinsport. Roger's got a lot of gall when he's blown his inheritance and is living of his sister's good graces.

John: Joe and Maggie getting together would have been a pretty standard soap opera trope... I wonder if they had plans to further develop that relationship.

I also thought it was interesting to hear that Mrs Johnson gives Maggie the creeps! I thought I was the only one.

Shadows on the Wall

Christine: I believe this is the first time we've seen the life preserver labeled with The Blue Whale.

John: I still want to know the story behind Mr. Snappy at the Blue Whale jukebox!

To the Collins Family of Collinsport! 🍻
