Shadows on the Wall: Episode 40

Before continuing, you may enjoy revisiting our original 50th anniversary summary and commentary: https://dsb4idie.blogspot.com/2016/08/episode-40-81966.html

Then & Now

Christine: John's comment from ten years ago that Bill's enthusiasm for Sam's coffee is straight out of Twin Peaks makes me see this episode through a different lens.

John: Roger was surprisingly cordial when he bumped into Burke. Perhaps he was too embarrassed after Bill walked in on his argument with Sam.

Funny how Sam catches on to Bill trying to get him drunk, and then he leans into it.

Shadows on the Wall

John: Did Roger's scar change from a drawing to a prosthetic after yesterday's episode?

Episode 40

Episode 39

Christine: The striped throw blanket takes center stage at the end of the episode when Bill drapes it over Sam's unconscious, drunken body. Could this be the Collinsport equivalent of the Log Lady's log?

John: Burke brandishing the ring reminds me of the owl cave ring from Twin Peaks. Don't take the ring, Carolyn!

Sadly (spoiler alert) Bill won't be around long enough to track his drinking... coffee or alcohol...

What did you notice this time that you had never noticed before?
