Shadows on the Wall: Episode 95

Before continuing, you may enjoy revisiting our original 50th anniversary summary and commentary: https://dsb4idie.blogspot.com/2016/11/episode-95-11466.html

Then & Now

John: For a second I thought Vicki was at risk of ruining her relationship with Frank Garner before it really got started by telling him ghost stories.

Christine: I initially thought Vicki was foolish not to take Frank up on his offer of a ride, but he is coming on pretty strong right out of the gate, which could make a ride home in the car with a rather forward Bangor attorney seem a little risky to a naive governess. Still, it's possible she might have gone on to live a happier life if Frank had persuaded her to leave Collinwood.

Shadows on the Wall

John: The hideous pen saga continues! Only six in existence, and only two in the United States! They go a long way to make this a Friday surprise — particularly by having Vicki call Roger and specifically bringing up the pen!

Christine: If only Carolyn had known how special that gift was, perhaps she would have kept her mouth shut instead of bragging about it to her Uncle Roger and prompting him to take it from her to return to Burke.

John: I have to imagine the phone booth in the hotel in Bangor is the same set as in the diner in Collinwood...

How did Victoria know that Roger wasn't too drunk to drive safely?
