Harry picks the lock on the West Wing. Adam is in his room thinking about Carolyn. He opens the door and sees Harry standing outside. He grabs him and drags him in and closes the door. Adam chokes him, until he lies and says Carolyn asked him to check in on him. Adam lets him go, and then Harry pulls a switchblade on Adam. He tells him to open the door, and they'll go to the police together.

Cassandra listens to Lang's recording in the drawing room. She calls for her brother, and says she wants to talk to him. She tells Blair that the voice on the tape is Dr. Eric Lang. He talked about a creation, and it sounds like the creation was Adam. Blair is excited, and wants to talk to Lang. Cassandra says Lang is dead and Blair counters that while that presents problems, they are not insurmountable. He leaves her alone in the drawing room. She listens to the recording again.

Harry tells Adam to open the door, or he'll kill him. Adam attacks, knocking the knife out of Harry's hand. He picks it up and approaches Harry, who screams. Carolyn enters and tells Adam to give her the knife. Adam tells her he threatened to to bring him to the police, and she assures him that he won't. He gives her the knife, and Harry gets up to leave. Adam stops him until Carolyn tells him to let Harry go. She instructs him to wait outside. He leaves, and Carolyn tells Adam that she'll be right back.

Carolyn demands an explanation from Harry. He says his mother told him the West Wing was locked up, and he was interested in what she was doing. He tells her that he knows who Adam is, and that the police are looking for him. He says he's willing to not contact the police if she gives him $5000. She refuses. She says she knows all about him, and could have him sent back to prison if she wants to. He asks her what happens now, and Carolyn explains that he'll help her with Adam. She says she'll hire him on as a chauffeur, to keep his mother off his back about getting a job.

Carolyn goes back into Adam's room, and says she can't hurt Harry. He can protect himself, but he can't kill someone. She says that Harry will bring him food from time to time, and Adam is upset that Carolyn doesn't want to see him. She tells him that's not true. Adam shows her a book with a picture of two people kissing, and she explains it's what people do when they love each other.

She tells him she has to leave, and he leans in and kisses her. She turns away, and he asks what's wrong. She says he must never do that again, because it's not right.

Blair stands before Dr. Lang's tombstone and calls upon him. Lang's ghost appears. Blair asks about his experiment. Lang's ghost says Adam was built from the bodies of the dead. Blair asks how he brought Adam to life, and Lang says he did not. Blair asks who continued his experiments, and Lang's ghost says it was Julia. Satisfied, Blair sends the spirit of Lang back to his grave.

Blair returns to Collinwood and tells Cassandra he knows how to find Adam. She tells him to find and destroy Adam. Blair says Adam will not be destroyed, and if she tries anything, he'll destroy her.

He leaves her downstairs, and she thinks that she'll find a way to outwit Blair and destroy Adam, so her curse can reach Barnabas.

Our thoughts

John: Poor Adam. He's gone and pulled a #MeToo on his only friend Carolyn... though I suspect she likes the attention. It's been a while since she's kissed anyone, and let's face it, given the choice of Adam or Harry...

Christine: Adam is developing fond feelings for Carolyn and doesn't understand the inappropriateness of how he is expressing them, since he seems to be acquiring a rudimentary knowledge through the old books lying around the West Wing. Unfortunately, she is doing little to educate him on the matter, probably because she's having conflicted feelings herself. Maybe she should call on Professor Stokes to have the awkward birds and bees talk with him. At the very least, she needs to remove all the love poems and romance novels in the room, and provide him with some Casper the Friendly Ghost comics.

John: I was a bit disappointed that the Spirit of Lang didn't appear in his white lab coat. That's how I'll always remember him.

Christine: I was disappointed he wasn't as theatrical as the way I remember him. Why are all the ghosts on this show so listless and morose? I would have expected him to be thrilled to hear that Julia was successful with his experiment, even in death.

John: What do you assume Blair plans to do once he finds Adam? Build an army of the living dead?

Christine: I think you may be on to something there. Cassandra seems undeterred by his warning, which may prove to be her undoing.
