John: I wonder if it was today's slate holder who walked into the microphone during the prologue...
Christine: I really wish Roger had walked in on Sam enjoying his fine brandy. Elizabeth appears to be taking the Bill Malloy approach to loosening Sam's lips.
John: Liz offering Sam a drink, talking smack about Roger, and Sam downing it regardless of what it was she poured, is classic! When they cut back to Sam finishing his drink, I wondered if that was still his first one.
Shadows on the Wall
John: Restaurants in Bangor are classy — down to the nice piano music playing in the background. I wouldn't have assumed Carolyn could hear what Burke was saying if he hadn't made a point of shouting his lines.
Christine: They really went all out on the Bangor restaurant set, complete with fancy carpeting, wall coverings, and quite a few extras, to make it feel like we were no longer in the sleepy artists' enclave of Collinsport but enjoying fine dining in the bustling city of Bangor.
I thought it was odd that a tree was growing so close to the entrance to Collinwood that it could be seen behind Sam while he was standing at the front door. As he entered, though, I realized it was actually a pillar covered in vines. I don't think I've ever noticed that before.
