Julia rushes into the old house and tells Barnabas that Cassandra knows about him and Adam. She says she knows about the experiment, and may know how to destroy him. He asks how she found out, and she tells him it was through David. She says Eric Lang left a message for them on the tape recorder. David had questions, and Cassandra was the first one he could find to ask about it. Barnabas asks if David remembers what was on the tape, and she says he can't remember the details. She says they need to find Adam before Cassandra and Blair do.
Harry returns to Collinwood, and his mother appears, saying she needs to talk to him. He assumes he's going to be lectured by her, and she tells him to come into the drawing room. She asks him if he's been stealing food, and he denies it. She says someone has, and she needs to know if it's him. She suggests he might be helping one of the friends he made in prison, but he denies it. She says she can't imagine who would be stealing food from the kitchen.
In the West Wing, Adam hides, alone. Carolyn comes to visit him with breakfast. Adam tells her he was afraid. He asks her to read to him, and she does. She then tells him to eat his food, and reminds him that she is his friend.
Barnabas arrives at Collinwood and is greeted by Harry, who introduces himself as Mrs. Johnson's son. Barnabas asks for Carolyn and he goes to find her.
Adam reluctantly lets Carolyn leave, and she exits the West Wing with a tray in hand.
Harry startles her and says Barnabas is downstairs looking for her. He offers to take the tray to the kitchen, and she hands it to him. She then scolds him, reminding him he is to stay downstairs, and not wander about the house.
Carolyn finds Barnabas in the drawing room. He asks her where Adam is, and she says she doesn't know. He says she must know, since he's no longer in the root cellar. She tells him that Adam left, and neither she nor Professor Stokes knows where he is. He tells her that he thinks they are hiding him, and the police already confirmed that he wasn't at Stokes' house. He begs her to tell him where Adam is. He says it's vitally important. He promises not to hurt him. She says she doesn't know where he is. Harry walks into the foyer and overhears their conversation.
Harry tells his mother that Carolyn will be complaining about him. He says he got in trouble for going upstairs to find her. He says Carolyn came out from behind a locked door, and his mother suggests she was in the West Wing. Carolyn enters, and Mrs. Johnson sends her son away. She asks Mrs. Johnson to tell Barnabas that she's out if he comes to see her, as she doesn't want to see him for personal reasons.
Harry picks the lock on the West Wing door and enters.
Mrs. Johnson apologizes for Harry being upstairs. Carolyn says it's not a problem. as long as he stays downstairs.
Adam is in his room thinking about Carolyn. He opens the door and sees Harry standing outside. He grabs him and drags him in and closes the door.
Our thoughts
John: I love that Julia points out that Cassandra knows all about Barnabas and Adam, when Barnabas and Julia don't even know everything about Barnabas and Adam.
Christine: Based on what David related, I don't know how she's come to the conclusion that Cassandra knows how Adam was created and may know how to destroy Barnabas, though it gives her an opportunity to demonstrate her flair for drama. I'm surprised she isn't whipping out her hypno-medallion to help David remember what he heard on the tape.
John: It's been a long time since we last saw Harry and Mrs. Johnson. Carolyn was pretty rude to him for being upstairs. I was sure that when he showed up in the kitchen with a tray (Adam's), his mother was going to beat him for lying about stealing food...
Christine: Harry Johnson was last (and first) seen in Episode 471 back in April. That's kind of a long time for him to be hanging out at the Blue Whale. It was hard to tell if Carolyn was being a rich snob, or just trying to keep Harry from lurking around while she indiscreetly carries large trays of food to the closed off section of the house. Stealth has never been her strong suit, as we saw when she was doing Barnabas' bidding.
Christine: I think Adam has been pretty vocal about Barnabas hurting him and how much he hates him because of it. It looks like Adam has finally reached puberty and is getting more touchy-feely with Carolyn. Perhaps she should provide him with some of Roger's old Rover Boys books from the basement to read, rather than the Elizabeth Barrett Browning love sonnets that appear to be inspiring amorous feelings for her.

Finally....HARRY JOHNSON IN THE HOUSE!!! Now that Adam is reaching puberty, I'm not sure if he'll kill Harry or just make fun of his name.
