Shadows on the Wall: Episode 28

Before continuing, you may enjoy revisiting our original 50th anniversary summary and commentary: https://dsb4idie.blogspot.com/2016/08/episode-28-8366.html

Then & Now

John: Burke tells the Sheriff that he was railroaded 10 years ago. The facts leading to all this bad blood may be finally starting to emerge.

Christine: Sheriff Carter has psychological interrogation tactics down pat. While he had a search warrant for Burke's hotel room, I wonder how many hapless citizens of Collinsport have voluntarily given up their constitutional rights after hearing Sheriff Carter argue, as he does with Burke, that if you've got nothing to hide, you shouldn't be afraid of a search.

John: Roger's bouncing outside the diner door is really creepy during David's Sundae training.

Shadows on the Wall

John: Why would the Sheriff so proudly proclaim that he can't find a warrant in the mess on his desk.

Christine: No wonder Sheriff Carter couldn't find the search warrant for Burke's hotel room. It appears he was busy rearranging his office, swapping the criminal posters that were on the bulletin board behind his desk in yesterday's episode for the officer of the month and police photos that had been hanging behind the water bottle, instead of organizing his desk.

John: Maggie's Sundae might be the best dessert we've seen to date.
