Blair considers killing Barnabas, but realizes doing so would also harm Adam. Adam comes downstairs and tells him that Angelique is nowhere to be found. Adam wants to settle the score with Barnabas himself, and Blair tells him he should be careful about giving orders, or he'll see to it that he never gives another.
Blair tells Adam that if he knew Angelique were there, he would be more afraid of her than of Adam. Blair explains that Angelique will control Barnabas, and tells Adam to trust him. Adam says if Blair should have special powers, he should find Angelique. Blair approaches the mirror, and begins his search for Angelique. In the mirror, they both see her in a room with Jeff Clark.
Jeff wakes to see Angelique over him. He tells her he can't help her. She says she needs him, and he tells her he just wants to see Vicki. He tells her he dreamed about her, and asks what power she has over him. She leans in to bite him when Blair grabs her by the neck and holds her back.
Jeff asks Blair how he got in, and Blair makes him sit down out of the way. Blair tells Angelique to return home and wait for him. She quickly exits, and Blair returns his attention to Jeff. He asks where he met her. Jeff describes how she appeared in the laboratory in the old house, and told him she was to be the life force. Blair interrogates him, and Jeff describes attempting the experiment with her, until they were interrupted by Barnabas. Blair asks if Barnabas saw her, and Jeff says she disappeared before he did. Blair sends Jeff to his bed, and tells him he will forget all about Angelique, and that all the scars she has given him will be gone when he awakens. Blair then leaves, and outside, knocks on the door. Jeff wakes up and lets Blair in. Blair invites Jeff to join him for a drink. Jeff agrees to join him.
Adam stares into the mirror, wanting to know how to use it. He complains to Eve, who calls him a child. Adam tells her that Barnabas has threatened to kill her. She gets up to go outside, and he stops her. They struggle and she tells him that she'll kill him when he lets go of her.
Adam leads Eve downstairs and she begs him not to leave her there. She says she doesn't want to be sent back where she came from. Adam doesn't understand what she's saying, telling her she must stay downstairs until the danger is over. As he leaves her, she shouts that she will kill him.
Adam tells Blair that he must take Eve away. Blair explains he must wait a bit longer. He reminds him that he will bring a doctor in to remove his scars. Angelique appears, and Blair sends Adam away. Blair tells Angelique that he won't punish her, but instead give her a treat. She doesn't believe him. He says that there is a man who she will have as a slave—Barnabas.
Our thoughts
John: Too bad we didn't get a chance to see Blair and Jeff get that drink. Who knows what kind of trouble those fellas could get into out on the town together. Though it must have been a quick drink, as it sure seemed like Blair was back home in the blink of an eye.
Christine: Nicholas Blair was in fine form today! I can only imagine what he'd do to the fruit in his drink while out bar hopping with Jeff Clark.
John: I think the fact that Eve not only hates Adam, but now wants to kill him, is going to put a strain on their long-term relationship.
Christine: This is quite a pickle! If Angelique gets to Barnabas before he can kill Eve, Eve will kill Adam, Barnabas will revert to the vampire he once was, and Angelique won't have the pleasure of bringing Barnabas under her control. Though perhaps she'll have another chance for romance with Barnabas with both of them being vampires.
John: Blair seemed so intent on keeping Angelique away from Barnabas, and now he's going to basically hand him over to her? Something tells me that his plan is going to backfire.
Christine: I hope Roger collected a security deposit from Nicholas before renting to him. I have a feeling a lot more furniture is going to be stabbed during his stay at the House by the Sea. I'm surprised Adam didn't notice that Blair's magic mirror was the same one from his room in the West Wing. Incidentally, has anyone ever looked so happy to be bitten by a vampire as Jeff Clark?
