Professor Stokes goes to Collinwood to look for Adam in his room. As he looks around, David startles him. Stokes says he probably wonders what he was doing. He says Carolyn told him about books he might be interested in. David says he thought he might be looking for Adam. Stokes is surprised David knew Adam. David tells him they were good friends, and he left last night, saying he would never come back.

Stokes asks when this was, and David tells him it was about 6pm. Stokes asks how long he knew about Adam, and David says that he's known him for a while. He adds that he was originally scared of him, but Carolyn told him not to be. Stokes asks where Adam was going, and David says he doesn't know.

Carolyn comes in and is surprised to see Stokes. He says he came to see Adam, but appears to be too late. She sends David away. He goes outside, but listens at the door. She tells Stokes she's surprised he was there without her permission. She asks him why he told Barnabas she was keeping Adam in the house. Stokes says it's imperative that he finds Adam, and asks if she knows where he has gone. She says he never even said goodbye to her. She asks Stokes why he wouldn't confide in her. He excuses himself and says he must keep looking for him. She demands to know if Adam is in danger. He says that he may be, and she asks him to keep her updated.

David wanders through Eagle Hill Cemetery, calling for Adam.

Willie and Maggie sit across from one another in the secret room of the Collins family mausoleum. He begs her to speak to him. She does not, and he asks her to stop staring at him if she won't speak to him. She keeps staring and he looks away. He tells her that her plan to bug him isn't going to work.

He begs her again, saying he's doing this to protect her. He cries, asking her to please say something. She asks if he's finally ready to let him out. She says that all she's staying alive for is getting out. She tells him that he's feeling guilt.

He gets nasty and tells her that he saved her life. She tells him she'll be very patient, and very quiet. He yells at her to shut up, and then immediately walks that back, begging her to keep talking to him.

He tells her that he has to go to the old house, and says he has to tie her up first. She tells him to go ahead and do whatever he wants to her. She tells him that she'll get out. She tells him she won't eat anything. He says she will, and she tells him he can't force her to eat. He ties her up and leaves her.

David watches as Willie leaves the mausoleum, and when he's gone, he enters. He wonders if Willie was in the secret room. He wonders if there's something in there he doesn't want anyone to see—perhaps something horrible. He decides to go in, and is surprised to find Maggie Evans tied up.

Willie prepares to leave the old house with a bag of food as Stokes arrives. Willie is agitated, and while they talk, the front doors swing open and the chandelier begins to swing. Willie asks what's going on, and Stokes says it's some form of astral projection. He's convinced it has to do with the experiment. Willie says he's getting out of there, and leaves. Stokes is fascinated by the phenomenon.

Willie returns to the mausoleum with food. Inside, he finds David. He asks what he's doing there, and David says he's looking for a friend of his. Willie tells him he should get back to Collinwood. David says he found someone else—Maggie Evans. Willie freaks out, and goes into the secret room to find Maggie is gone. He tells David he shouldn't have let her go.

Our thoughts

John: It was pretty obvious that Eve wasn't in Adam's old room as soon as we got a glimpse of it and could see the place hadn't been spruced up.

Christine: We know very little about Eve, however, she doesn't impress me as the sort of woman to devote herself to housecleaning.

John: I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the writers went out of their way to try and establish that David and Adam were off-screen best buddies. It's too bad they didn't actually develop that relationship onscreen, as it seems like they could have had a lot of fun with those two characters.

Christine: It was definitely a wasted opportunity, and off-screen explanations are never very satisfying. Since we haven't seen David Henesy since Episode 541, I imagine he's had to be cramming in his schooling before going out to play with Adam, and it's nice to have him back.

John: Is it just me, or does it seem like Maggie and Willie have been in the mausoleum for weeks? I do love that David was the one to help her escape, and then he stayed around so he could tell Willie when he returned! While we should be concerned about David's safety under the circumstances, I think it's safe to say that nothing bad is going to happen to him.

Christine: Who will Maggie turn to first? Joe or Vicki? I guess it depends on who's working the next episode. Who is the mysterious entity that's rattling the chandelier and throwing open the doors to the Old House, even after Adam and Eve have left the premises?
