Shadows on the Wall: Episode 73

Before continuing, you may enjoy revisiting our original 50th anniversary summary and commentary: https://dsb4idie.blogspot.com/2016/10/episode-73-10566.html

Then & Now

John: Sam Evans on the prowl! I had forgotten we were treated to location footage of our favorite drunk artist.

Between Roger, Burke and Sam, it sure does seem like Sam is the one with a particularly guilty conscience.

Christine: David seemed perfectly pleasant when he met Sam Evans. He was certainly nothing like the little monster we've come to know and love at Collinwood, especially after being so bratty with his Aunt Elizabeth that she finally lost patience and sent him to his room.

John; If I didn't know better, based on how this episode played out I wouldn't have been surprised if they didn't wait until Friday to reveal the results of the coroner's report on Bill Malloy.

Shadows on the Wall

Christine: It looked like Maggie was clearing Mrs. Johnson and Carolyn's apple pie dishes, yet you may notice that the fresh apple pie has already been replaced by donuts, even though it's still the same morning. I guess it makes sense that fresh apple pie might go quickly.

John: More free food offered up at the diner courtesy of Maggie Evans... and David didn't even want the Super-Duper Sundae she crafted for him.

Christine: We get a clear shot of one of the FBI wanted posters behind Sheriff Patterson, and it turns out to be an actual wanted poster for one of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives.

  1. How far did David walk to get to the hotel restaurant and how long did it take himto get there? It seemed like only a few minutes (when he asked Elizabeth to go out he said he only wanted to be out for 5 minutes - but of course lying comes easily to David.). Yet if Burke hadn't driven Victoria home, she said that she would take a taxi. I am pretty sure that David didn't take a taxi to get there.

  2. Watching Dana Elcar has been a real treat the past several episodes. He was good in just about anything he did.
